Life according to Nik

Since Newspaper is techincally a writing class,

I decided to write a new post. As you could probably tell based on the title, I’m in newspaper, and there’s 15 minutes left, considering it’s 11:55, and class ends at 12:10. Anyways, we’re “proofing” pages right now, because our deadline is tomorrow. However, we’ve never been able to make a deadline this year…ever, so I don’t know if we’re really going to go to press tomorrow. We’ll see what happens. I find it kind of funny that we’re the ones doing all of the work, while the “teacher” (I say that loosely) is doing whatever…I guess it’s yearbook stuff, but she’s also making us help her with that, so I’m not completely sure what exactly she does.

I got called a “social outcast” today by one of the staffers. Why is it that people don’t really understand that just because I don’t really talk, doesn’t mean I don’t like people? It could possibly mean that I’m just generally a QUIET PERSON, and don’t usually have anything to say, and when I do, it just comes out awkward. I think I’m the only person who gets that.

In english today, we talked about ways to help the homeless. Although it’s nice to be able to help them, what about those who don’t want to be helped? There’s a lot of those out there who are happy with living in the woods, or a park, or a bench. Nevertheless, I did come up with a pretty decent plan, I guess. I just have to write it down tonight, because I have to present it tomorrow, in front of the class. Oh joy. Love it. Well, it’s now 12:04, and I’ve got to continue signing off on pages, so I’ll still have an A in this class, because after all, who gets a B in newspaper?

Ciao,

Nik.
